THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE 1; broken hills weaker 'A further ' decline in Broken Hill proprietaries occurred on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday, a parcel being transferred Is 9d lower 61 s 6d. Business in the investment market f a i r lv quiet, and levels generally w ere steady, but several issues changed hands at substantially lower rates. In Government loans all issues of 4 per cent stock sold at unchanged to firmer Banks were .irregular, and Nationals _c \; eu - Zealand eased 9d on sale at 72s 3d while New Zea lands were placed 'unalto'red at 50s lid. South British Insurances showed further weakness, a sale at 94s 3d being Is Imvrr while holders reduced their quotations by lii 6d to 94s 6d. After a s;ile unchanged at os da Mortgage Corporations were available 3d lower at 6s 4d. Other loan and fieency issues; to weaken were Dominion Investments and Farmers' Auctioneerings (£5 paid).
