THEFT FROM SHOP TILL
MONEY HIDDEN IN STOCKING WOMAN BEFORE THE COURT The theft of £lO, the property of William Tinson, was admitted in the Police Court yesterday by Elizabeth Maud Aberhart, aged 45, domestic (Mr. Aekins), who appeared before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M. Sub-Inspector Fox said that accused entered a second-hand shop, of which Tinson was the proprietor, and stole a £5 note and five £1 notes from the till during the absence of an assistant. She was followed and brought back to the shop, but denied the theft. However, when a constable was summoned, she produced the money from her stocking. Accused was remanded for a week for sentence.
