AMALGAMATION MOVE
ELLERSLIE AND AUCKLAND PROPOSAL TO TOWN BOARD A proposal that the Ellerslie Town Board should take steps to amalgamate with the city was mooted at the board meeting last evening Notice to discuss n motion to this effect was given by Mr. J. J. Toy. He said ho proposed to submit facts and figures in support of tho motion at the next meeting. His notice of motion read us follows:—" That the Kllerslie Town Board take immediate steps to promote amalgamation with the Auckland City Council, and that in the opinion of the board the district would materially benefit in the way of essential services, namely, drainage and sewage, and water supply, by amalgamation "
