FACTORIES IN BRITAIN
CONSIDERABLE INCREASE EMPLOYMENT FOR THOUSANDS (Received August 23, 6.5 p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY, Aug. 27 A report on industrial development just issued states that 478 new factories, employing 37,200 people, were established in Britain last year, and 144 factories were extended, providing employment for more than 8000 people. Of the new factories 34 were established by or with the assistance of foreign concerns.
