WHANGAREI MINIATURE CLUB [r It Oil OUR OWN correspondent] WHANGAREI, Wednesday The Whangarei Miniature Rifle Club held a shoot last night for the trophies presented by Messrs. A D. Jack and M. K. Stewart. The evening's trophy was won by •R. Jennings Tho A grade Buckley Rooster was retained by A. Higgins, arid H. Davies defeated J. Kissen for the B grade Buckley Rooster. Best scores were:—R. Jennings, 100, ecr—loo; S. Button, 98, 2—100; B. Renton 93, 2—100; F White, 98, 2 —,100; L. Holmes. 99. 2—100: M. Thomson, 90, 10-100: I Covaeich, 89. 11—100; H. F. Buckley. 99, scr-99; A. D. Jack. 98, 1-99: R. 98. 1—99; J. Barron. 90. 3-99; M. Sheriff. 97. 2-99; H. Davies, 95, 4-99; D. Wilton, 98 scr—9B; A. Higgins, 97, scr—97; J. Courtney. 94, 8—97, M. K. Stewart, 90. scr—9G; J. Kissen. 88, 7—95. The postal match hetwecn the Dunedin and Whangarei Clubs resulted in a win for Whangarei with 971 points to 958.
