DEATH IN PRIVATION An Italian, Bernardino Alessi, aged 68, who was found dead in his hut at Argenton, New South Wales, recently, had £"00 in the bank and £l3 in the hut. The mattress on the stretcher on which he died was filled with grass, bags made lip all his bed clothing, and the hut was devoid of furniture. The coroner, after hearing evidence, said that Alcssi, who made no will and left no relatives in Australia, must have denied himself the necessities of lit o and hoarded his money.
