NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS SEMI-FINALS OF DOUBLES (Received August 26, 6.15 p.m.) NEW YORK, Aug. 25 In the semi-finals at the United States tennis championships at Brookline Budge and Mako defeated Shields and Parker in the men's doubles, 6—4, 6—3, 6—3; Allison and Van Ryn beat Hines and Culley, 2—6, 6—2, 4 —6, 6—4, 6—3. In the mixed doubles Miss Katherine Stammers and Menzel beat Miss Phyllis Mudford-King and Mako, B—6,8 —6, 6—4; Mrs. Palfrey-Fabyan and Maier beat Mr. and Mrs. Van Ryn, 3—6, 6 —3, 6—3.
