WEEK-END IN THE CITY A party of 12 children and two teachers from the primary school at Waiofrira, a township 21 miles from Whangarei, arrived in Auckland on Friday afternoon and spent the weekend visiting points of interest about the city. A number of the children saw a tramcar for the first time. The party visited the War Memorial Museum and the Zoological Park, and were taken to picture entertainments at the Civic and St. James' Theatres. They also made tours of inspection of leading department stores and the New Zealand Herald plant. On Sunday afternoon they were taken for a motor drive in cars provided bv Messrs. S. fakle, E. E. Kitchener, T. W. Mayittu " hangarei by train vesterday afternoon.
