MEDICAL MAN CHARGED

ALLEGED ILLEGAL ACT HEARING FIXED FOR MONDAY Charged with unlawfully using an instrument or other means on a female on July 23, George Frederick Hewer, aged 49, described as a medical practitioner, and Phyllis Shorter, aged 31, appeared on remand before Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M., in the Police Court yesterday. Representing the accused, Mr. Singer said ho understood the police wanted a further remand until next Monday. He had no objection, and asked that bail be renewed.
