COMMUNITY SUNSHINE
The Avondale branch of the Community Sunshine Association held a musical afternoon in the bowling pavilion last week. The club room was decorated with bowls of spring flowers and forget-me-nots. The entertainment proved a great success, £5 6s being raised for the handkerchief stall at the coming Community Sunshine Fair. Several ladies of the executive of the association were present, and Mrs. Bright, vice-president of the ladies' auxiliary of Sunshine House, congratulated the Avondale branch on the success of the arternoon. Mrs. Fcrner explained to those present the aims of the association. Items were rendered by the following: Mrs. J. Parry, Miss 0. Thomas, Miss Bobbie Dee and Miss Rita Thomas (songs): Miss Thoral Keefe. Miss Margaret Whale and Miss Bobbie Dee (elocution); Mr. Mvatt (flute solos). Airs. Bollard was the accompanist. Afternoon tea was served.
