FOOTBALLERS INJURED

MISHAPS ON SATURDAY TWO PLAYERS IN HOSPITAL Two footballers were injured on City grounds on Saturday. While playing for tho Ponsonby senior grade League team at Carlaw Park, Roy Bright, of 18 Shaw Street, Sandringham, injured his chest in an accident, and Cyril John Loombo, of 39 Howe Street, Ponsonby, broke his collarbone, while playing for the Marist Old Boys' Rugby team at Eden Park. Both players were taken in St. John ambulances to the Auckland Hospital, but they wero not admitted. A Rangitaiki Rugby juuior, J. Roebfort, received concussion in a match with Tauranga juniors at Tauranga on Saturday afternoon. He was removed to hospital in a St. John ambulance. While playing League football at Jubilee Park, Whangarei, on Saturday afternoon Arthur Berghan, of Whakapara, dislocated his right shoulder. He was admitted to the Whangarei Hospital.
