WELLINGTON REQUEST Tho necessity of preserving Somes Inland, Wellington, as a quarantine station was emphasised by the Minister of Agriculture, tho Hon. C. E. Macxnillan, and the Minister of Health, Sir Alexander Young, when replying to a representative deputation which asked that tho island, or portion of it, should he made available to tho public, Mr. Macinillnn stated definitely that unless another suitable Quarantine station was available, there was no likelihood of tho deputation's rebeing granted.
