DEVONPORT FIREMEN
TROPHIES AND HONOURS CEREMONY OF PRESENTATION The following trophies were presented by Mr. A. Harris, M.P., at the annual gathering on Saturday night of the Devonport Municipal Fire Brigade, at which the Mayor of Devonport, Mr. H. F. W. Meikle, presided:— Harris Championship Cup. Fireman Page. Beck Challenge Shield.—Fireman Hcmmingway. Marine Boroughs Challenge Cup (four-men motor event). —Firemen Page, O'Brien, R. Fletcher and Hemmingway. Fletcher Cup (two-men dry coupling event). —Firemen Page and It. Fletcher. Takapunn Cup (three-men disabled event). —Firemen Page, P. Fletcher and Hemmingway. Service honours were presented as follows : Five Years' Service Medal.—Fireman Hemmingway. Two-year Bars.—Dr. Trevor de Clive Lowe and Dr. H. C. Bennett, honorary surgeons; Foreman Colley and Firemen Worthington. Page, Clark and Crabb. Mr. J. Fletcher was presented with a life honorary member's medal for services rendered over a period of 23 years.
