SCHOOL BOARD'S REQUEST [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON. Saturday The view that the rent of the girls' hostel, controlled by the Hamilton Hinh School board of governors, should bo paid out of the board's endowment fund wae expressed at a meeting of the board yesterday. The matter had been the subject of correspondence between the board and tho Education Department, and tho latter had pointed out that the endowment fund was required for the payment of teachers' salaries. Tho board decided to renew tho request, it being stated that the fund had boon used for the payment of rent on previous occasions.
