SCHOOL HOLIDAYS
SECOND TERM VACATION COMMENCEMENT TO-DAY The majority of primary and secondary schools will conclude their second term's work to-day and close for a vacation. The 750 schools controlled by the Auckland Education Board will resume on Monday, September 9, and the. five Grammar Schools on tho following Monday. Tho day students at tho Scddon Memorial Technical College will resume on September 9, but tho night classes will continue without a break until November 15, when they will close for tho year. Pupils at tho Sacred Heart College broko up yesterday and tho boarders will leave this morning. The school will reopen on September 17, but the boarders will return the day before. The Auckland University College, which closed on August 10, will begin its third term on September '2. the term closing on October 31. Tho primary and secondary school year ends on December 18. King's College will close to-day and boarders will return on September 16, tho school reopening on the following day. Pupils at St. Cuthbert's College, also closing to-day, will resume on September i". Tho Diocesan High School closes to-day and boarders will return on September 17 for tho school to resume the next day.
