DIRECTOR HONOURED
LONG PERIOD OF SERVICE DAIRY COMPANY'S TRIBUTE [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Wednesday The retirement of Mr. G. Buchanan, of Paeroa, from the position of director of the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company, Limitod, was marked by a presentation ceremony last evening. Mr. Buchanan has been associated with the Thames Valley Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, and the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, which absorbed the former concern in 1920, for 22 years, during which period ho was a director In presenting Mr. Buchanan with a silver tcaset, the general manager, Mr. C. J. Pnrlane, paid a tribute to Mr. Buchanan's excellent qualities. The chairman of directors, Mr. 11. H. McKenzio, presented Mr. Buchanan with a chiming clock, and said it was largely due to Mr. Buchanan's work thai the amalgamation between the Thames Valley and New Zealand companies had been brought about. He had never had to contest an election. Mr. F. J\L Strange, of Mangaiti, said the success of tho New Zealand company was largely attributable to Mr. Buchanan's efforts. Mr. Buchanan briefly replied.
