MEW FRENCH INVENTION OBJECTS DETECTED IN DARK LONDON, Auk. 20 The/Paris correspondent of the Daily Telegraph says the liner Normandie's latest equipment is a radio-electric apparatus which will make it possiblo to detect the exact location tit night or in a fog all objects in the vessel's vicinity. • The apparatus was invented by M. Ponte, a young French scientist. It wasexhaustively tested before it was fitted up. It is claimed that it will be an tffective protection against collisions.
