SUCCESS OF SEASON INCREASE IN GATE-TAKINGS TOUR OF SOUTH PROBABLE The success of the Rugby League season to date from a financial viewpoint was referred to b.v Mr. G. Grey Cain|>holl, chairman, at last night's meeting of the management committee of the Auckland Hugby League. Mr. Campbell said that at the conclusion of the club championship a detailed statement had been prepared, and it was pleasing to report that the takings for club matches this season were just over £SOO better than those in 1934. and exceeded bv £I2OO the takings in 1931. During the past ten weeks heavy rain had fallen each Saturday, otherwise the figures would have been even more satisfactory.
