♦ USE OF FLYING-BOATS PILOTS NOW IN TRAINING LONDON, Angr. 19 A significant indication of the new trend in Empire air line operations is that Imperial Airways, Limited, is arranging that all senior captains be trained in the piloting of flying-boats. There is much activity on the part of the flying staff of the company in readiness for a general change-over to flyingboats when the latter are available in sufficient numbers to operate on the principal Empire routes.
