Aug. 19 Baron Aloisi, jn an interview today, said Italy's security was her chief consideration. He added: " When you cannot co-operate you fight; but Italy will attend the League's meeting at Geneva on September 4 and will not leave unless she is compelled to do so." The Italo-Abyssinian Conciliation Commission has ratified the choice of M. Politis (Greece) as the fifth arbitrator. The discussions had proved that the differences between Italy and Britain were a conflict between reality and Utopia. Italy wants security for her East African colonies, which can be obtained only by disarming Abyssinia. LARGER AIR FORCE INCREASED PERSONNEL TOTAL NOW 40,483 (Keceived August 20. 5.45 p.m.) ROME. Aug. 19 Signor Mussolini has increased the Air Force personnel by 16,000 men. This brings the total strength to 40.483.
