STOCK SALES

FKANKTON QUOTATIONS DEMAND FOR FAT SHEEP SMALLER YARDINGS OFFERED [ FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT] HAMILTON, Tuesday Smaller yardings of fat wethers and ewes resulted in a sharp increase in values of from 5s to 6s, over last week's rates, at the Frankton saieyards today. Lambs, which were also in short supply, sold at current rates. Ox beef came forward in good numbers and firm prices were realised. Values were steady for cow and heifer beef, an average yarding being readily quitted. Prices for vealers displayed a slight improvement, due to a smaller yarding being available. There was a distinct decrease in values for stores and weancrs, which came forward in good numbers. Prices for baconers and fat pigs showed little alteration.
