THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE dominion breweries rise E'ominion Breweries rose sharp;!? on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterdav, a sale being made at 17s 6d, a rise of Is 6d. Offers later were raised to 10s 9d, but holders asked 20s, an advance of 3s 6d since Saturday. Other bre.very ishares also were firmer. Turnover was a shade weaker, and levels in some sections had an easier tendency. No sales were made in Government loans, but there van better inquiry for the 3.} per centu. Banks were steady to weak<r. New Zenlands eased 3d in business at 51s 3d, and English, Scottish and Australians again moved downwaid. Insurances were steady, with two stiles of New Zealands at the current price. There wtis n marked improvement in Mortgage Corporations, which rose Id on salo at 6s 4d. Offers improved 4d to tho same price, and quotations made a similar rise to 6s 9d. Auckland Gas showed further weakness, and dropped 3d on sale at 26s 3d. 'ln the miscellaneous section inquiry for Australian Glass again rose but no supplies were m sight. G. t>. Coles also established a further gain ir dealing at 65 ! s 6d. A fall of Is occ irred in Ne'iV Zealand Newspapers, which sold at 395, while K.D.V. Boxe3 were placed 3d easier at 21s 3d. CLOSING QUOTATIONS Buyers lilellers
