[by telegraph—own correspondent] WHAKATANE, Tuesday The Bay of Plenty Historical Society held its annual gathering in the Parish Hall, Whakatane, last evening. The chief feature of the function was an address by Bishop Williams, of Waiapu, on Maori houses. Maori action songs and a haka were given by the children of the Paroa native school.
