FOUND DEAD IN CHAIR
AUCKLAND BUSINESS MAN COAL COMPANY MANAGER The general manager and secretary of Pukonnro- Collieries, Limited, Mr. George Pollock, was found dead in a chair at his residence in Eden Street yesterday morning. The police and Dr. E. H. B. Milsom were called. An illquest will be held this morning. Mr. Pollock, who was 49 years of ago, was born in Scotland and came to New Zealand about 25 years ago. He served with the New Zealand Forces in the Great War, being wounded and invalided back to the Dominion. For some yoars ne had suffered from indifferent health. Ho was connected with various coal projects prior to joining the ser vico of Piikeiniro Collieries 12 years ago. Well known in Freemasonry circles. Air. Pollock was 'a member of Lodge Ponsonby 703. He was also a member of the committee of the Auckland Orphans' Club. In the field of sport he was a keen angler. Ho is survived by his wife.
