MR. R. M. FIRTH HONOURED FAREWELL DINNER TENDERED [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WANGANUI, Monday The newly-appointed New Zealand Trade and Tourist Commissioner in Los Angeles, Mr. R. M. Firth, was tendered a farewell dinner in Wanganui, the Mayor, Mr. W. J. Rogers, presiding over a large and representative gathering. Mr. L. J. Schmitt, secretary of the Department of Industries and Commerce, and general nxxnager of the Tourist and Publicity Department, said Mr. Firth wa,s one of the most brilliant officers the department had had, and he would be a success in his new sphere of activities.
