ESTIMATE OF 40,000 GIVEN OTTAWA. Aur. IS The Royal Canadian Mounted Police Superintendent, Mr. F. J. Mead, states that there are 40,000 Communists in Canada, 7000 of whom are active. They were formerly financed by Moscow, but are now self-supporting.
