PROFESSIONALS' DAY EVENTS AT ONE TREE HILL The annual visiting day for professionals was held byi tho Maungakiekie Golf Club during tho week-end, when a number of Auckland players was entertained by the president of the Professional Golfers' Association, Mr. H. Morpeth. Playing conditions were against, good scoring. A bogey competition played in the morning resulted in a tie between E. J. Moss (Auckland), P. Branch (unattached) and T. S. Galloway (Maungakiekie), who finished 4 down. The professional* were partnered with junior members of the club in four-ball bogey matches in tho afternoon, the winners being A. Murrny (unattncjied) and J. B. Gilmore, with a score of 4 up. AKARANA CLUB The final of tho Akarnna Golf Club's competition for the Coltmnn Cup was played over ."30 holes during the week-end between C. Shenkin nnd R. Tappenden, the former winning by ono up.
