At a Meeting of the Auckland Metropolitan Milk Council, held on the 16th day of August, 1935, it was resolved: " That the prices fixed by Resolution of the Council, dated the 31st August, 1934 (and now ruling), as those to bo charged by Milk Vendors to Ice Cream Manufacturers for Milk and Cream for the manufacture I of Ice Cream be fixed as the prices to be so charged for the period commencing on the Ist day of September, 1935, and continuing until altered or revoked by the Council, save only that the prices for Milk in quantities of under 10 gallons in any one day shall bo the saino as the prices for the time being in force for Milk sold in the like quantities to any person or corporation for use and not for resale." This Resolution shall como into force on the Ist day of September, 1935. A copy of the above Resolution may be inspected during office hours at the office of the Council, York Chambeis, Victoria Street East, and printed copies may be obtained on payment of 3d per copy. The objects of the Bill uro to amend The Auckland Metropolitan Milk Act, 1933, by: (a) Extending the Auckland Metropolitan Milk District to inclutlo the Borough of Otahuhu, the Road Districts of Panmure and Mt. Wellington, the Auckland Domain and Hospital Reserve, and tho Ports of Auckland and Manukau. (b) Amending certain provisions as to voting powers of Dairymen and Milk Vendors. (c) Empowering the Council to make . a special levy as security for uny special loan. . _ (d) Requiring licences.in cr*tain cases affecting district milk supply not previously provided for, also to bring or send ice cream into the District. (e) Making further provision for the regulation by the Council of Uie supply and distribution of milk and for ensuring compliance with its price-fixing regulations. (fi Empowering the Council to assume the sole right to purchase milk for tho District. . (g) Empowering the Council to treat, sell and distribute milk and cream and carry on certain other operations connected therewith. (h) Empowering the Council to compensate roundsmen whose licences are cancelled or restricted or to purchase and dispose of milk rounds for tho purpose of consolidation. (i) Generally making provision enabling the Council more effectively to achieve the purposes of the principal Act. The above Bill will be introduced into Parliament by or on behalf of the Auckland Metropolitan Milk Council. Copies of the so id Bill have in accordance with the Standing Orders been deposited in the Magistrate's Court at Auckland, and at the Office of the Auckland Metropolitan Milk Council, York Chambers, Victoria Stroot.
