AUCKLAND CLUB'S SEASON The report presented at the annual meeting of the Auckland City Defence Rifle Club was probably the best in the history of the club. The balance-sheet disclosed a very satisfactory financial position, while the report slated that the membership was steadily growing, a feature of the past season's activities being the go6d attendances. Members met with remarkable success at championship meetings, the most important being that of F. Bowes in winning the Now Zealand championship at Trentham. Other individual successes wero the Auckland Rifle Association's championship, won by H. Simmonds; the South Auckland Rifle Association's championship, won by F.'Bowes; and the Auckland service-shoot-ing championship, won by C. J. M. Clark. The champion teams matches at the Auckland, South Aucklund and Auckland military meetings were all won by teams representing the club. During las address the president, Mr. H. Simmonds, referred to. the splendid spirit among members and to the support received from the Defence authorities. The following officers were elected for the coming season:—President, Mr. H.
