"TRUST ABUSED"
THEFT FROM SHIP'S CARGO [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON. Monday For the theft of shoes and toothbrushes from a vessel on which he had been employed as watchman in port, Robert Craig Boyd Taylor, aged 21, seaman, was sentenced to three months' imprisonment by Mr. E. D. Mosley, S.M., in the Wellington Police Court to-day. The polico stated accused admitted having broached cargo on the Rangitane at Auckland. " I cannot possibly overlook an offence of this nature where a man placed in a position of trust deliberated abuses it and encourages others to abuse it, too,' 1 said the magistrate, in passing sentence.
