FIRES IN EMPTY HOUSE
THREE IN RECEN,T MONTHS [BY TKLKGRAPII —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Monday An clement of mystery surrounds tlio circumstances of a fire which badly damaged an unoccupied 12-roomed house in Owen Street, Newtown, last night. It was the third occasion within as many months that la fire had occurred in the house: Both previous outbreaks, which were put out without much damage being done, broke out on Sundays. It is thought the fire may have been caused by thieves or tramps who occupied the house for shelter.
