WAIKATO CHAMPIONSHIPS TOURNAMENT AT HAMILTON [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Sunday Seating accommodation was fully taxed at tho .Drill Ilall, Hamilton, during yesterday afternoon and evening when a, largo crowd of boxing qnthuslasts assembled to .witness the contests for the Waikivto amateu/ boxing championships. Tho tournament, which was held under tlic control of the Hamilton Boxing Association, attracted good entries, boxers being present from all parts of the Wojkato, together with a good representation of Aucklanders. Tho standard of boxing waß good. Particular interest was shown in tho welter-weight bouts, which were outstanding from a point of view of pace, hard hitting and sound boxing, the final between Keg Hobson, o£ Hamilton, and E. i-stcll. of Auckland, being perhaps tho most exciting of tho tournament. Results were as follows: — Paper-weight.—Semi-final: D. Mason (Rotorua), Gst 9lb, beat A. Allan (Auckland), 7st lllb, on points. Final: D. Mason drew with C. Morris (Auckland), 7st 6lb. Fly-weight.—Semi-final: J. Hethenngton (Onehunga), 7st 10lb, beat S. Stock (Avondale). 7st G}lb, on points. Final: A. Allan (Auckland), 7st 6lb, bept J.
