Bullock-Douglas was absolutely starved for the ball, but taking the rearguard as a whole it fell far below inti'rprovincial standard. The Wanganui forwxrds played with vigour, brat were generally beaten for the ball in tie scrums. The tactics of the visiting backs harassed the fast Otago backs, but the latter linked up in several spectacular movements. Procter (wingthreequarter) scored three tries and Simon (halfback) one, MacFailand converting three, and Gillies (five-eighths) potted tw» goals. THE LEAGUE CODE PLAYERS ON TRANSFER TWO TEAMS CONGRATULATED A meeting of the management committee of tho Auckland Rugby League last niight received a request from the Mount Albert Club for the authority for a recent ruling that a player transiferred to England is at liberty to play for • any club he desires on his return to New Zealand. Mr. G. Grey Campbell, chairman, said that under the present agreement whereby a transfer fee was paid, the player on leaving New Zealand had a complete clearance, and lub New Zealand club had no further control. It was apparent that the Mount Albert Club was under a misapprehension on a rule existing some years prior to the transfer fee being enforced. Tha conflicting colours of two junior clubs, Otahuhu and Glen Ora, was the subiect of a report submitted by Mr. D. Wilkie. It was decided, provided the cost was reasonable, to make alterations to the , colours of Glen Ora, and suitably recompense Otahuhu.
