AIR FORCE BAND

[BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Thursday A member of the staff of the Petone Borough Council, Mr. G. A. Booth, has been uelected as bandmaster of the Royal New Zealand Air Force Band. He holds a Kneller Hall certificate and began his musical career at the ago of 11 in the old Oamaru Garrison Band. Later he was a member of the Timaru Regimental Band and during the war was bund sergeant of the Siing Military Band. On his return to Now Zealand he was conductor of tho Waimate Silver Band, and established the Timaru Cadet Band.
