IC'COMMOOATION REQUEST [from our own correspondent] TE AWAMUTU. Thursday The To Awamutu District High School Committee has decided to Wake representations for an additional room to accommodate tho increasing number of students in the secondary department, which is now 109. Representations on the subject Verio made to the Minister of Education, the Hon. S. G. Smith, during his recent visit to Te Awamutu, and he intimated that he would await a report from the Auckland Education Board. The Minister advised that ho could make no promise of a special grant for pounds improvement, as available funds were quite insufficient for all tho requests placed before him. The future depended upon how much money could w upared by the Government for the needs of education.
