FIRE IN SCOUT HALL
INCENDIARISM SUSPECTED PALMERSTON NORTH OUTBREAK [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] PALMERSJ'ON NORTH, Sunday A fire, which appeared to have been deliberately lighted with the object of burning down the Scout Hall in Ferguson Street, Palmerston North, was discovered shortly before midnight. When the fire brigade arrived on the scene it discovered an incipient blaze just under an outside wall, in exactly the same spot as a fire discovered eight or nine days ago. The police have in/their possession a kerosene-soaked rag, which was dragged out of the fire. The outbreak was. extinguished without difficulty, no damage being done to the hall,
