NEW ZEALAND ENGINEERS

FIRST FIELD COMPANY ANNUAL DANCE HELD Always a popular function, the annual dance of the Ist Field Company, New Zealand Engineers, which was held in the Artillery Hall on Saturday, was a great success. Multi-coloured streamers were interlaced across the ceiling of the hall, while bunches of balloons added further to the festive scene. Large tubs containing shrubs and bamboo formed leafy screens around the hall. During the evening, LieutenantColonel It. Miles presented the trophies which had been competed for during the year. The guests were received by Major L. F. Rudd, officer commanding Ist Field Company, New Zealand Engineers, and Mrs. Rudd, who wore a frock of magnolia delustered satin.
