NIAGARA TO SAIL
DUE HERE ON AUGUST 19 FORTNIGHT BEHIND SCHEDULE Advice has been received by the Auckland office of the Union Steam Ship Company that the Royal Mail liner Niagara is expected to leave Victoria, British Columbia, on Wednesday, and is due at Auckland on August 19. The vessel is in dock at Esquimalt, having repairs made to damage done when she was in collision with the motor-ship King Egbert shortly after she left Victoria on July 17, en route from Vancouver to Auckland. After the collision she returned to Victoria and was docked for repairs at Esquimalt on July 20. The Niagara's mail was transferred to the Mariposa, which is due at Auckland from Los Angeles on August 9. The Niagara was formerly scheduled to reach Auckland on August 5, so that on arrival here she will be 14 dajs behind schedule. Her movements after she reaches Auckland have not been announced.
