DECREASED TONNAGE BRITAIN AND IRELAND (Received July 21, 5.5 p.m.) British "Wireless RUGBY, July 20 The Chamber of Shipping's quarterly return of tonnage laid up in ports of Britain and Ireland shows a further improvement. On July 1 there were 575,910 tonß of British shipping laid up, which was 117,709 tons, or 16.7 per cent, less than on April 1, and 454,299 tonß, or 43.6. per cent, loss than a year ago.
