WRITERS' CLUB
" The Native Frog of New Zealand and Its Habits," was the subject of a very interesting talk given by Mr. Gilbert Archey, Director of the Auckland Museum, to the Writers' Club. This little-known creature, he told his hearers was, oven here, very rare. It was of great interest, because of its great rarity, its strange anatomical simplicity and its unusual habits. There were three varieties, one found in the Coromandel Peninsula, another on Stevens Island, and a third in the Waitakere Ranges. Miss Enid White contributed a bracket of pianoforte solos. Miss Joan Ross recited "Gipsy John," by Miss Gloria Rawlinson, and two short humorous pieces.
