July 21 The Sydnoy hurdler Sixteen Annas was victorious in tho Leamington Hurdles at tho Victoria Amateur Turf Club's meeting at Caulfield yesterday. Gay Star won the Murruinbeena Handicap, scoring by half a length from the New Zealand-bred Bunsby Gaze, who came from the roar with a great run in tho final stages. The Godfrey Watson Steeplechase went to Calfly. East Capo was unplaced in the first division of tho Lillimuir Two-year-old Handicap. Whornside, by Grand Knight from Bayloch, was third in the second division/Cape Morn was fourth of 22 starters in the Kambrook Trial, and Metro was unplaced in the Malvina Welter. Results:—
