AUSTRALIAN BOXER
MATCH WITH CANADIAN REPORT FROM LONDON LONDON, July 11 It is stated that the Australian boxer Ambrose Palmer has been matched against the Canadian cowboy Ed Wenstob at "Wembley. If he is successful he will meet Len Harvey to determine his chances against Petersen, the leading English heavy-weight. 9 During the past 12 months Ambrose Palmer has received several offers to box in England. He accepted one offer, and had travelled as far as Fremantle, when a guarantee of £9OO by the National Boxing Club for three contests in Sydney caused him to cancel the voyage and return to Sydney. When he was seen at Leichhardt Stadium a few weeks ago he gave no indication that he was considering any further offers from England. However, he said he would be quite willing to box a suitable opponent at the Sydney Stadium when his contract with Leichhardt was completed. He has been tentatively matched with Leo Kelly, an. American now in Australia.
