TRUCKS PREDOMINATE
An unexpected feature of road transport in Soviet Russia is that the number of trucks greatly exceeds that of passenger cars. The industrialisation of the country and the mechanisation of agriculture have compelled the automobile industry to devote its attention at first to the production of trucks. It is said that there is a lack of qualified drivers in the country.
