WORD-BUILDING CONTEST
Great interest was taken by our senior boy readers in the word building contest based on our pago heading, " Youth's Leisuro Hour." The best entrv was from ARTHUR CUR WEN, Glen'Afton, Huntley, whose sentence was: " Yonder out under the house-steps, lie eleven Ink-pots, stacked under rustic emblem, handkerchiefs of uniform red." Arthur's prize is a very fine volume, " Tho Boy Electrician." The second prize, " How an aeropiano flies has been awarded to JOHN EIICEG, Mata, Whangarei. His sentence was: Young Otto Upton, the handy stockman, left eight irritable steers under rain, expecting his old uncle's return. Good entries were also received from Don Rallisori, John Buddie, Norman McKenzie, Deryek Bach, R. Trail, N. Benjamin, Harold Smith, John Morrow, D. Coubrough, J. Stokes, Algar O'Brien, Ronald Brockway, B. McKeuzic, Malcolm Logan. Will correspondents and competitors please remember to sign their Christian names, not initials, also please state age?
