LIFE RISKED FOR A LAMB
A Forest of Dean miner, George Benson, of Bream, went down a mine shaft, near Bream, an English holiday resort, to rescuo a lamb that had failen into the shaft. Benson, who was lowered to a depth of 200 ft., was in danger of being crushed at any moment by a fall of rock,' as Uie walls of the mine were crumbling. The lamb was brought safely to the surface little the worse for its adventure. A crowd of holidaymakers cheered Benson when he emerged from the shaft.
