Beautiful twenty-year-old Junnita Cruz, toreador and darling of the Madrid bull-ring may fight again. The outcry which followed the prohibition of women bull-fighters was so great that the Minister of the Interior has had to lift the ban. The dark-eyed senorita appeared in fifty-three coridas last year, and earned £SOOO. .She cleverly challenged the police ban with the argument that the Republican constitution granted women equal rights with men. Thousands of her admirers supported her. Senorita Cruz was a typist until two years ago.
