Notice is hereby given that the Assessment Court set up under the Urban Farm Land Rating Act, 1932, to deal with matters pertaining thereto, will sit in the TOWN HALL. Public Notice is hereby given that in pursuance and exercise of its powers under the Town Boards Act, 1908, the Rating Actj 1925. the Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926, the Municipal Corporation Act, 1933, and amendments and all other powers enabling, the Henderson Town Board intends on TUESDAY, August 6, 1935, to make and levy for the year commenced on April 1, 1935, and ending March 31, 1936, the following Rates, viz:— 1. A General Rate of Threepence and FiveEighths of one penny (3 5-8 d) in the £l. 2. A Hospital and Charitable Aid Rate of One Penny (Id) in the £l. 3. A Street Lighting Rate of ElevenSixteenths of One Penny (11-16 d) in the £l. . 4. Special Rates (recurring) to provide interest and Sinking Fund on Loans remain as struck, but only amounts sufficient for requirements to be collected as follows: „ . ■ (a) Riding Loans—A Rate of ThirteenSixteenths of One Penny (13-16 d) in the £l. (b) Bridge Loan (1932) A Rate of One Farthing (Jd) in the £l. (c) Conversion Loan (1934) A Rate of Eightpence and Five-Eighths of One Penny (8 5-8 d) in the £l. Total, One Shilling and Threepence (Is 3d) in the £1 upon the Rateable unimproved value of all rateable property as appearing in the Valuation Roll for the time being in force in the Henderson Town District. . 5. WATER RATES—In respect of the Ordinary Supply upon all lands and buildings to which water is supplied (excepting supplies per meter) a Rate of Threepence (3d) in the Pound (£1) on the unimproved value of all such property, with a minimum charge of Ten Shillings (10s). NON-CONSUMERS: Upon all lands and buildings to which water can be but is not supplied, situate within one hundred yards from any part of the waterworks, a Rate of One Penny (Id) in the Pound (£1) on the unimproved value of all such property, with a minimum charge of Five Shillings (s_s). Such water rates to be levied upon all rateable property as appearing in the Valuation Roll for the time being in force in the Henderson Town District. 6. SANITATION RATE—A uniform annual fee in respect of the removal and disposal of nightsoil from closets and privies and cleansing of pans, at the rate of Two Pounds (£2) for each pnn in any such closets or privies, upon each and every property in the Henderson Town District having a building erected thereon and where the area of the land on such property does not exceed one-half of an acre mid on all properties with buildings used as hotels or boarding houses. The said Rates and J'ees to be payable -in each Ci\se in one sum on the 28th day of August, 1935, at the Henderson, Town Board Office, Thdmas Street, Henderson, to W. H. ROBERTS, the Board's Collector, or to such of her person as may be Appointed from time to time to collect and receive the same. A Rebate of Five Per Centum will be allowed on all general, hospital and special rates paid before the expiration of thirty days after due date thereof. A copy of the Estimates of Receipts and Expenditure for the year ending March 81. 1936, upon which the above-mentioned rates nre based having been approved by the Board is, together with the Valuation Roll, open for inspection during office hours at the -Board's Office, Henderson.
