UNIVERSITY COLLEGE

ANNUAL COMMERCE BALL SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION Many enthusiastic dancers attended the ball of the Commerce Students' Society of Auckland University College, held in the College Hall on Saturday night. Palms and clusters of leafy bamboo made attractive decorations, and in the women's common room, where supper was served, the tables were artistically decorated with vases of yellow jonquils and fern. The president of the Commerce Students' Society, Mr. L. W. Holt, with Mrs. Holt, received the guests, the latter wearing a frock of holly berry metalasse crepe. They were assisted by a committee comprising:— Miss Helen Coates, who wore a frock of revolution red taffeta; Miss Trixi Abel, in saracen red faille; Mr. T. M. Barton (lion, secretary), Mr. K.
