JOURNEY TO EAST COAST BRIEF STAY AT ROTORUA SERVICE AT MAORI CHURCH fBY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] ROTORT7A, Sundny The Governor-General, Viscount Galway, and Viscountess Galway, who completed their first term of residence at Government House, Auckland, yesterday, arrived by motor-car yesterday afternoon at Botorua, where they spent the week-end. Their Excellencies will leave to-morrow morning on their first official visit to the East Coast, and they will reach Wellington on Saturday, to go into residence at Government House.

They attended divine service at the Maori Church at Ohinemutu this morning, the preacher being the Bt. Bev. F. A. Bennett, Bishop of Aotearoa. Lord Galway read the lesson. They will leave by motor-car tomorrow for Whakatane and Opotiki, and 'a halt will be made at Tikitere, where the history of the taiaha and paddle, presented to the GovernorGeneral on his first visit to Botorua by the aged chief Bangi Te Aorere Te Kiri, will be related to them. The ViceBegal car will also stop at Hongi's Track, some miles further on, where Their Excellencies will meet assembled natives and inspect the famous wishing tree. After Whnkatane and Opotiki. Lord and Lady Galway will visit Gisborne, Napier, Hastings, Woodville, Waipuktirau and Palmerston North, before returning to Wellington.
