There has been heavy rain over Banks Peninsula and all creeks are ! swollen at Akaroa this evening. The ! level of Lako Forsyth, the outlet of i which was cleared on Wednesday even- ! ing, is now normal, however, and ! danger of flooding in Little River and Birdlands Flat has been largely averted.
